This old-fashioned handmade cinnamon ornament is one tradition your family will love. It’s so simple to make with just cinnamon and applesauce, plus it leaves your home smelling delightful.

- 1 cup applesauce
- 1.5 cups cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees and line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together one cup of applesauce and 1.5 cups of cinnamon (& cloves, if using).
- Prepare your surface and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Place cinnamon dough on prepped surface, use rolling pin to flatten dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut out desired shapes.
- Place ornaments onto parchment paper.
- Use a skewer to poke holes for your string.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15.-2 hours. Flip ornaments 1/2 way through.
- Allow to cool and then attach string at desired length.
Notes
*Thicker and larger ornaments will take longer to bake. Please remove smaller ornaments from the oven to prevent burning.
