Moving into a new home is exciting, but building a true sense of community takes time and effort.

One of my favorite ways to connect with neighbors is through homemade sweet treats because who doesn’t love a little surprise on their doorstep?

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I wanted to share something special with the neighbors but being 8 months pregnant, spending hours in the kitchen just wasn’t an option.

While browsing the grocery store, I saw all the covered strawberries and had a lightbulb moment, strawberry bark.

It’s simple, delicious, and perfect for gifting.

My peppermint bark was a huge hit during Christmas, so I figured this would be an easy and festive way to spread the love to our new neighbors this year.

How To Store Strawberry Bark

Since this recipe uses freeze dried strawberries, it is best to eat within 2-3 days for the freshest bites of strawberry. After a few days of being exposed to air, your strawberries will soften.

To keep your Strawberry Bark fresh and delicious make sure to use these storage methods.

Short-Term: Store in an air tight container at room temperature in a cool, dry place (away from direct sunlight and heat). If your house is warm, store it in the fridge to prevent melting. Just allow it to sit at room temperature a few minutes before eating for best texture.

Long-Term Storage: You can place the bark in an airtight container or zip-lock bag in freezer. However, this may cause your strawberries to soften over time.
